With 24 years experience, Patrice Lightcap, of THE LIGHTCAP TOUCH® has honed the unique skill of “listening with the fingertips,” which has assisted her in helping you discover and unlock emotional and physical pain, as well as chronic tension.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Registered Jin Shin Do® Acupressurist,      Patrice brings a special capacity to the healing process by integrating her bodywork in close collaboration with psychotherapists, family counselors, social workers and chiropractors.  Working with children, adolescents, adults and whole families, "touch therapy" and mental health counselors are often an effective and beautiful holistic approach in promoting personal wellbeing. It benefits the individual by reconnecting the body and mind with new awareness of being in the present moment.

Patrice also works with athletes, sports injuries as well as performance fine tuning.  This includes, dancers, tennis and golfers plus the occasional weekend warrior.        Rotator cuff problems are a specialty along with hip flexors, the core muscles that balance the whole body and keep it moving.

"The foundation of my work is the Asian Arts of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guasha, Five Element Shiatsu and Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® . The Western Element of manual therapy, known as Massage;  include Therapeutic massage, Neuromuscular massage, Myofascial Release and Unwinding, Geriatric Massage, and Oncology Massage.  In between Eastern and Western bodywork is Craniosacral Fascial Therapy, intuitive and gentle work, based on the theory that Craniosacral and Fascial systems are interconnected.  Extremely relaxing, promoting healing and a sense of deep calm.  I have also become involved with Hospice care, which holds a very special place in my heart. Also, something new,  LIGHTCAPS MOVE and FLOW; designed to bring new energy and flexibility to your body and life. Using QI Gong based movements, (like Tai Chi, or a slow hokey pokey) this helps increase blood flow, improve breathing, add new vitality to your joints and balance to your whole body.

"A long held dream of mine, to assist others in finding new energy and vitality and balance in wellness, no matter the age group.  I work through the integration of these different methods to rejuvenate and restore the mind, body and spirit connection.  All of these particular bodywork modalities are oriented to healing the whole person as one system to balance and restore the natural flow of energy.

I also offer lectures on safe touch and wellness and the importance of bodywork and touch therapies for all ages in our fast paced electronic society.
